RIDE SUGGESTIONS
This page provides a collection of cue sheets and maps for
rides in the
Cue sheets are in Adobe Acrobat (pdf) format unless otherwise noted. Click HERE to download the free Acrobat Reader. Most cue sheets also include a color topographic map showing the route. If possible, you should print the map on the back of the cue sheet. Not all the routes have been field-checked. Eventually I hope to get all the routes mapped with GPS and my topo mapping software. I am always collecting more cue sheets and looking for new routes to ride. If you have suggestions please send them to me at rsheneman@earthlink.net. Ill add more suggestions as they become available.
NOTE Not all the routes have been field-checked this season. Roads are often closed for repairs and construction, so you might want to drive the route first to make sure all the roads are open.
Most cue sheets are formatted to be printed on letter-size paper (8.5 x 11) and folded in half or in quarters for easy use on the road. I used to clip the cue sheet to my shifter cables using office-type binder clips. Now I use the CueClip (www.cueclip.com) and attach the sheet to my bar stem. They dont seem to get lost as easily this way.
Another way I like to ride is to print a few pages from the New Jersey Bike Map (ww.njbikemap.com) and pick some new roads. When Im not sure about where to go, I just pull out the maps and choose a direction. These maps include useful information like scenic roads, food stores, schools and parks, etc. Printing a few maps on waterproof paper and heading out for the day is a great experience!
